Nintendo Download | Fantasy Strike

I always enjoy writing up the Nintendo Download, but especially when it heralds the release of a game I’m really excited about. This week, that game is the latest from the Fire Emblem series. Despite not knowing a ton about the game courtesy of Nintendo, I still am very, very hyped to play the latest console iteration. Besides that, there are the usual sales, more featured games, digital offerings, some My Nintendo goodies and more to enjoy. Let’s start with the game I’m salivating over.

Nintendo Download | Fire Emblem: Three Houses

I’ve been a fan of Fire Emblem since Sacred Stones, and my passion for the series was reinvigorated with Awakening. In the interim, I wasn’t invested in the console offerings on Gamecube and Wii, but I always wanted to be excited about a Fire Emblem on a bigger console. Which brings us to Fire Emblem: Three Houses tomorrow. It fondly reminds me of Sacred Stones, has three distinct paths you can choose, and some really wonderfully creepy villains this time around. All I know is that there’s a time skip, a green haired woman and that this Fire Emblem is supposed to be around double the length of recent portable entries. But that’s enough to get me excited. Thankfully, Three Houses isn’t the only featured game to look forward to this Nintendo Download. Cute and quirky title Forager is finally making the Switch in a few days, and it’s being joined by colorful fighter Fantasy Strike. If that wasn’t enough, there’s still Wolfenstein: Youngblood, because fragging Nazi scum never gets old. With those out of the way, let’s move on with new My Nintendo activities.

Overall, a pretty good Nintendo Download, if I say so myself! Thanks as always for joining us here at oprainfall, and be sure to tune in for more Nintendo games next week. Now if you’ll excuse me, I need to go finish counting the minutes until Three Houses is in my hands…
