Welcome to another Nintendo Download. Thanks for joining us this week in particular, since it’s the one right before E3. Since that show takes all the oxygen out of the room in the gaming community, the Nintendo Download won’t be happening next week. But that doesn’t mean there’s not a lot to enjoy this week! Keep on reading for some great games, sales and events.

Nintendo Download | Slay the Spire

There’s only one featured game this week, and it’s a hybrid TCG and rogue-like. That game is none other than Slay the Spire. While it’s a bit more expensive than some games, I am a fan of both the genres it represents. While I didn’t play it earlier when it was on PC, I might have to pick it up on my Switch. Next up, there’s some sales to enjoy this week, courtesy of the Game Guide.

Nintendo Download | Dyna Bomb

For sales, here’s a few worth checking out. If you love classic puzzle games and an old school aesthetic, you might enjoy Warlock’s Tower (Switch) for $3.99; if you prefer atmospheric games, you might prefer Selma and the Wisp (Switch) for $7.99; if you love cats and Metroidvanias, pick up Gato Roboto (Switch) for $6.79; or if you love over the top action, try out Akane (Switch) for $3.74; for a challenging looking game, there’s ALPHA (Switch) for $4; or for bloody good mayhem, try Katana ZERO (Switch) for only $11.99; fans of sweeping adventures might enjoy Hob: The Definitive Edition (Switch) for $16.99; or to rock and sock some robots, there’s the wonderful Mechstermination Force (Switch) for $10.79; for a game that’s far better than a cursory glance might reveal, try Space War Arena (Switch) for $10.49; to play something colorful, try Pikuniku (Switch) for $6.49; or for a super discount, try Mecho Wars: Desert Ashes (Switch) for $0.99; or for inexpensive robots, try Mech Rage (Switch) for $1.99; for a visceral rush, try Mother Russia Bleeds (Switch) for $7.49; for a reason to love portables, try The Legend of Dark Witch 3 Wisdom and Lunacy (3DS) for $5.99; or for platforming with a dolphin, try Star Splash: Shattered Star (Wii U) for $1.74. Nintendo Download | Father's Day

It’s been a while since My Nintendo had anything interesting, and this might qualify. In honor of Father’s Day, they are offering a bunch of promotions. Some are silly and obviously directed at a younger audience, such as printable coupons for uninterrupted game time and the like, but there’s also some things actual adults might like. An example are some Super Mario Maker 2 phone calendars or new 3DS Home Themes (yes, they’re still making those). The more important deals are some discounts on great games, such as Earthbound, Bravely Second and more. To see all the details in detail, just click here.

Nintendo Download | Hue

Lastly, let’s close out today’s Nintendo Download with some digital offerings. Since they only mention one new digital game for next week, I’ll cover that here. That is the colorful puzzle game PICO PARK. The rest are all out today or tomorrow. Fans of retro might enjoy the following – Arcade Archives Alpine Ski, Dyna Bomb and Artifact Adventure Gaiden DX. For a couple of RPGs, there’s Legend of the Tetrarchs and Warlocks 2: God Slayers. For something more story heavy, try Phantom Doctrine. Or if you want yet another random skeleton based game (seems to be a lot lately), try Super Skelemania. And finally, for something colorful, try Hue and She and the Light Bearer.

Nintendo Download | Artifact Adventure Gaiden DX

I know this was a short one, but thanks as always for tuning in. Just a reminder that next week there will be no Nintendo Download, but check back the following week with oprainfall for more Nintendo coverage. Assuming I’ve recovered enough from E3 by then, that is…
