The Quintessential Quintuplets | 2nd Season Announcement

A special event was held on May 5, 2019 in order to celebrate the birthdays of the Nakano quintuplets, the main female characters of Negi Haruba’s The Quintessential Quintuplets. Not only did they celebrate the quins’ birthdays, but they also announced that a 2nd season for The Quintessential Quintuplets TV anime was in production!

You can check out the teaser for the 2nd season below.

The birthday event featured special guests such as Negi Haruba (the writer and illustrator of the original manga) and the quins’ voice actresses; there was even a birthday cake ready for the occasion. The quins’ voice actresses are as follows:

The Quintessential Quintuplets | Voice Actresses

Of course, the best present of all (for both the fans and the quins’), was the announcement of a 2nd season for the anime. Negi Haruba’s The Quintessential Quintuplets previously inspired a TV anime which ran for 12 episodes from January 2019 to March 2019. It was directed by Satoshi Kuwabara and produced by Tezuka Productions. Crunchyroll streamed the anime as it aired in Japan.

Crunchyroll describes the anime as follows:

Uesugi Fuutarou, a high school second-year from a poor family, receives a highly appealing offer to work part-time as a tutor… but his students turn out to be girls from his own class! What’s more, they’re quintuplets… and all five are beautiful, but happen to be problem students who have borderline grades and hate studying! Looks like his first assignment will be to win all the sisters’ trust?! Every day is a wild party in this rom-com centering around the quintuplet sisters of the Nakano household!

No other information for the 2nd season was announced at this time.
