Hello gents and ladies, it’s time for another short and sweet Nintendo Download this week. There is only one highlighted game, as well as some new NES entries to Nintendo Switch Online, a special sale and the usual digital fare. So hop on a chocobo and let’s get started.

Nintendo Download | Chocobo's Mystery Dungeon EVERY BUDDY

Yes, there’s only one highlighted game this week, but it’s a classic series. It’s a new adventure in the Mystery Dungeon series called Chocobo’s Mystery Dungeon EVERY BUDDY! I honestly thought it was a remake until today, but after seeing some images it became clear it was a fresh new take. In it you get to explore never-ending dungeons as a Chocobo. It also introduces a new buddy system that is sure to keep things interesting. As a fan of classically styled RPGs, I’m surprised I never really got into the Mystery Dungeon antics (despite the best efforts of a friend), but maybe this will be the game to change that. Next up, Nintendo Switch Online has a couple new contenders for us to enjoy.

Nintendo Download | Bonds of the Skies

  • Kid Icarus – The evil goddess Medusa has stolen the Three Sacred Treasures and imprisoned the goddess of light, Palutena, in her evil plot to control all. Play as Pit, a young angel who has been entrusted with a magical bow and arrow. Fight against hordes of enemies that swoop from above and below. Secure the Three Sacred Treasures from their evil guardians, equip them and face Medusa in the final battle.
  • StarTropics – Step into the shoes of Mike Jones, a teenage star pitcher from Seattle, who has come to the tropics to visit his famous archaeologist uncle, Dr. Jones. After being told that his uncle has been abducted, Mike begins a perilous quest in order to rescue him and figure out the mysterious plot behind his disappearance. Luckily for Mike, he meets helpful villagers and finds more powerful weapons as he explores numerous locations and island hops using his uncle’s submarine.

Nintendo Download | IKARI WARRIORS

I hope you like savings, cause there’s a special sale this week despite no Game Guide content. Specifically, Square Enix is having a publisher sale, and there’s some pretty steep discounts to enjoy. Here are all 8 games, which are discounted until the end of the month – Fear Effect Sedna, Forgotton Anne, I am Setsuna, Lost Sphear, Octahedron: Transfixed Edition, Oh My Godheads: Party Edition, Romancing SaGa 2 and Spelunker Party! I know I’ll likely be picking up Romancing SaGa 2, and possibly a couple others. Be sure to check this out while you can.

Nintendo Download | Turok

For digital offerings, the following are out starting next week. Fans of the Fate series rejoice, as Fate/EXTELLA LINK is out starting next week, with tons of Servant mayhem to enjoy. Be sure to check out our upcoming review of that one. Also next week is survival management game SYMMETRY. And last but not least, the classic N64 dino hunting adventure Turok has been remastered for the Switch. I don’t normally like FPS games, but I remember really enjoying that one. Maybe cause I got to ride and fight dinosaurs. Either way, those three are all worth checking out, but the next games are all out this week.

Nintendo Download | Dusty Raging Fist

If you crave retro, you might enjoy Arcade Archives Ikari Warriors or Bonds of the Skies. For the tactically inclined, there’s Dungeons & Aliens. For some beat-em-up mayhem, try Dusty Raging Fist. To shoot the hell out of the bad guy, try RICO. And lastly, for delicious pixel platforming, try Unit 4. Not a bad week, but I do hope the next is more jam packed with content.

Nintendo Download | Fate/EXTELLA LINK

Thanks as always for joining oprainfall for your weekly Nintendo Download, and be sure to tune in next week!
