After 12 years, Nintendo of America’s Damon Baker announced he has left the company as of December 21st. In his farewell letter on Twitter, he confirmed his next career move will be revealed in 2019.

Mr. Baker began his storied career with Nintendo in 2006, eventually serving as NoA’s head of third party relations. Fans and observers will recognize him best from Nindie-related broadcasts for the North American market, including the August 2018 Nindies broadcast for the Switch. It was through Damon’s efforts that the Switch third party situation marked a major improvement from its predecessor, Wii U.

We wish Damon Baker best of luck in the next step of his career. Stay tuned to oprainfall as this develops.
