Lupiesoft has opened a new Kickstarter in the hopes of doing a Stargazers: Remaster. They want to increase the story and CG over 5 times the original to make this yuri space epic as intended.

The Kickstarter has several different reward tiers that start out at $15 for a copy of the game on Steam and MangaGamer and go $3000 for a whole host of rewards including an in game appearance. There are some physical rewards such as art books, T-shirts, and posters as well.

Here is more info about the about the campaign straight from the press release:

With this Kickstarter, Lupiesoft will expand greatly on the number of locations to explore, characters and groups to encounter, as well as delving deeper into the lore and history of the Stargazers universe. With successful funding of the stretch goals, the title will also receive voicing by some renowned English voice actors such as Lindsay Seidel (Psycho Pass, Baka to Test, Assasination Classroom), Megan Emerick (Tsugumomo, Keijo), Sandra Espinoza (Marvel Avengers Academy) Steven Kelly (Dragon Age: Inquisition), Marissa Lenti (Gamers!, Fairy Tail) and many more!
The crowdfunding campaign starts now, and only lasts a month, so be one of the first to pledge and gain access to special backer-only items like charms, t-shirts, body-pillow covers, and real life models of the cosmatons!
Here is more about the story straight from the press release:
The Stargazers
The Stargazers squadron! Three pilots of the Allied Defense Force Signals, first to arrive in any new frontier, their mission? Venture deep into uncharted space and explore the hell out of it!

The Stargazers is about giant robots, star ships and the relationship between three girls. Inspired by 50s and 80s Scifi, Pulp Fiction, and Mecha anime! The Stargazers is a self contained story, and while we’re open to the idea of making more stories in the future, we’re designing Stargazers around self-contained adventures for the Stargazers Squadron in the style of pulp fiction. Stargazers is a yuri game, showing the relationship between a group of 3 girls and their time together.
They currently have around $2200 of their $24,000 goal pledged,  so if you would like to help make this remaster a reality head over to the campaign page now.

Steve started with oprainfall not long after the campaign moved from the IGN forums to Facebook. Ever since, he has been fighting to give all non-mainstream RPGs a fair voice. As the site admin, he will continue to do this and even show there is value in what some would deem "pure ecchi." He loves niche games and anime more than anything... well, except maybe Neptune.
