Nintendo has recently uploaded a new trailer for the latest Musou inspired title based off the Fire Emblem franchise, Fire Emblem Warriors for this year’s Gamescom convention. You can watch the new video below.

Fire Emblem Warriors is scheduled for release in the Fall of this year for the Nintendo Switch.

About David Fernandes

He joined the Operation Rainfall Campaign at the beginning, and became one of the staff as the first wave of new volunteers were needed back in mid June. He is an avid video game collector, and lover of most game genres. David spends much of his time in a futile effort in clearing out his ever growing video game backlog.

The Fire Emblem community needs to take a long hard look in the mirror. Even the people who say “Fates is bad” still buy it settle for less. Fateshit shilling will never end because they keep buying the garbage and eating it up regardless.

    • “Even the people who say “Fates is bad” still buy it settle for less.”

Nintendo fanboys always settle for less. Just sayin’

I would not say always. Would you say people who bought a 3DS are settling for less? It has many great games so I would say no. Also the Switch is selling really well so it should get a lot of games.

    • Keyword: “fanboys”.

Not everyone who bought the 3DS or another system are fanboys.

    • Panpopo

Nintendo is just hedging their bets with their two most popular games, which also happen to be their most recent titles outside the remake that just came out. If this game is a success then it opens the door for sequels and dlc characters from older titles that younger players may not be aware of. Considering that fire emblem was on life support before awakening happened it makes sense. Obviously it would be better to have sprinkling of older characters in the game, and that may still happen.

Actually, the franchise owes its revival to New Mystery of the Emblem. New Mystery was relatively successful and the new features implemented in it paved the way for Awakening to take credit. Obviously what they’re doing with Warriors is a sound business decision, but what I’m getting at is the fanbase. Fates has amazing character design, but it doesn’t make up for the absolute garbage story and the 2 version 3rd version DLC gimmick that milked money out of the ignorant consumers who shoveled money towards a heavily censored and bastardized (“localized”) game. Fire Emblem is in my top 3 game franchises, but I won’t let that keep me from smelling poop when it’s flung at me. Warriors needs to fail to teach them a lesson. It won’t fail, people are gonna buy the shit up, but it needs to fail.
