A game page for The Idolmaster: Cinderella Girls Viewing Revolution has gone live on the American PlayStation page, confirming a western release for the VR game. It releases on the NA store on July 18.

The Idolmaster: Cinderella Girls Viewing Revolution is a PlayStation VR-exclusive game that allows players to watch a Cinderella Girls performance in VR. The game’s page includes a brief description:

CINDERELLA GIRLS’ 1st LIVE venue set at “Maihama Amphitheater” unfolds itself to the maximum 9 idols on stage. Let’s witness their scintillating LIVE performance together!

  • Compilation is comprised of 3 singles, including the new song “Yes! Party Time!!”!
  • Cheer for the idols as you match the song rhythm with the concert light of your choice!
  • Enjoy LIVE through PS VR various viewing perspectives!

Viewing Revolution is the first console The Idolmaster game to be released in English, let alone the west, with the only other game to receive a worldwide release being the iOS version of Shiny Fiesta. It was previously released in Japan on October 13, 2016, with an Asian English release on April 21.

The whole idol craze is not for me, but I wish there were more VR concerts – it’s one of the best potential uses of these headsets.

I know idols are an acquired taste, but those that like this stuff this is pretty exciting. I am getting this with my next paycheck for sure just for the NEW experience. New, unique experiences are increasingly infrequent the older you get when it comes to games.
