No Game No Life Zero

Sentai Filmworks has announced that they have the license for the film No Game No Life Zero. In addition to the movie which will debut next month in Japan, Sentai Filmworks also has the license for the 12 episode anime series. Other than the announcement nothing else was really mentioned such when we should expect to see them release the film. Here’s Sentai Filmwork’s description of the plot.

“Six thousand years before Sora and Shiro were even a blink in the history of Disboard, war consumed the land, tearing apart the heavens, destroying stars, and even threatening to wipe out the human race.  Amid the chaos and destruction, a young man named Riku leads humanity toward the tomorrow his heart believed in. One day, in the ruins of an Elf city, he meets Shuvi, a female exiled “Ex-machina” android who asks him to teach her what it means to have a human heart.”

A new PV for the movie was also released a few days ago.

No Game No Life Zero will premiere in theaters in Japan on July 15.

Plays too much, but still has too many games to finish. Will play any type of game and will watch anything, so is of course not good at being productive. Loves anything crazy.

WTF was that?! The story seems way too serious for something as comedic as No Game, No Life.
