The official website for the Zaregoto OVA anime adaptation streamed the first trailer for the series recently. You can check out the trailer below.
The trailer previewed the cast for the OVAs. The cast for the series is as follows:

- Haruna Ikezawa as Yayoi

- Natsuko Kuwatani as Akari
- Ryoko Shintani as Hikari
- Yuko Goto as Teruko
- Yuko Kaida as Aikawa

Akiyuki Shinbo (known for working on Bakemonogatari and Puella Magi Madoka Magica) is serving as chief director for the anime adaptation. Fuyashi Tou (known for working on Bakemonogatari and Nisekoi) will work on the series composition. Yuki Yase (Nisemonogatari episode director) will serve as director alongside Shinbo. Akio Watanabe (character designer for Bakemonogatari and Kizumonogatari) will adapt Take’s character designs for the anime. Watanabe will serve as animation director along with Hirofumi Suzuki (known for working on The Last -Naruto the Movie-). Yuki Kaijura (known for composing for Sword Art Online and Puella Magi Madoka Magica) will compose the music for the OVA. Shaft is producing the anime adaptation.
Kalafina will perform the ending theme titled “Marchen.” Sangatsu no Phantasia will perform the opening theme titled “Cobalt World.”
The Zaregoto OVA Project is adapting the first volume in Nisio Isin’s (novel author)and Take’s (original character designer) novel series, Aoiro Savan to Zaregoto Tsukai (Decapitation Cycle: The Blue Savant and the Prankster).
It will have a total of 8 Blu-ray/DVD volumes with the 1st volume set to release on October 26.
