Record Label ShipToShorePhonoCo have announced via twitter that they will be releasing the soundtrack from Snatcher on vinyl. For those of you who have no clue what game this is, Snatcher was a cyberpunk adventure game directed by Hideo Kojima of Metal Gear fame. It was released on several platforms in Japan however those of us in the west, only saw the Sega CD version. This now highly sought-after title gained a huge cult following that only seemed to get bigger once games like Metal Gear Solid hit the video game scene. Despite the demand for it, the localized version was never re-released on any newer systems. ShipToShorePhonoCo have been releasing other a few video game soundtracks on vinyl such as Earthbound, and more recently opened pre-orders for the Zuntata Arcade Classics Volume one containing music from classic Taito arcade games Metal Black, Night Striker and Elevator Action Returns.

As of right now, they have not given us an exact date for when pre-orders will open. They did say that this will be available later this year so we will likely be able to pre-order very soon.
