As you know we have been covering Compile Heart’s countdown site over the past few days awaiting to see what new title they were working on. It was leaked Yesterday that the title was NepuNepu Connect: Chaos Chanpuru, but no other information was available. Today with the latest release of Dengeki PlayStation it was revealed this is game will be a free to play Card Battler for the PlayStation Vita. The game will feature over 100 Compile Heart characters as well as an all new heroine. The card battles will play out using the Vita’s touch screen with a drag and drop mechanic.

The new Heroine of the game is named Yuriina and is  designed by Manamitsu. This girl sets out on a quest to collect gold fragments in order to save the world from Chaos energy.

I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t a bit disappointed by this. I feel most of the F2P card games are nothing more than quick cash grabs, but I’m interested to hear what you folks think so leave me a comment below.

About Steve Baltimore

Steve started with oprainfall not long after the campaign moved from the IGN forums to Facebook. Ever since, he has been fighting to give all non-mainstream RPGs a fair voice. As the site admin, he will continue to do this and even show there is value in what some would deem "pure ecchi." He loves niche games and anime more than anything... well, except maybe Neptune.

I loved Monster Monpiece. I was hoping it’d be like it, but this looks like it’s exactly like it…

    • Mr0303

Me too. The playing field looks pretty similar, so there is a chance that the gameplay may be as well.

  • Mr0303

Well, balls. I love card games, but microtransactions are cancer. I’ll still give it a try, but the free to play model is a big turn off.

  • Panpopo

I am curious how the F2P mechanic will work – I am assuming microtransactions. If it’s like anything like the ubiquitous card collecting games on mobile, it relies on the gacha system, which would make me wonder why it’s not on mobile in the first place.

  • Steve Baltimore

If this wasn’t F2P I’d be actually excited for it.

  • JGuill

I was kind of hoping this was a fighting game, but I can see this being fun for fans of the series.
