Valkyrie Drive was briefly listed on the website to be released in Europe. Before the listing was pulled, the product page said the game would release on September 16th. The publisher is rumored to be PQube, since the company liked a Tweet the rumor was mentioned in.

Developed by the same producer of the Senran Kagura series, Kenichiro Takaki, Valkyrie Drive: Bhikkhuni is a game where young girls are succumbing to a mysterious virus. The virus in question doesn’t give them a cold or anything like that, but instead transforms the girls into weapons. The game released last year in Japan for the Playstation Vita.

I do hope it’s true. I figured that Marvelous Europe would be the ones who publish the game over here, since they handled most of the other Marvelous releases like Estival Versus.

    • Dgnfly

I have a feeling they are afraid of a controversy or either cause the Vita is a dead handheld system so sales won’t be as high as they’d like em to be.

    • Mr0303

Who? Marvelous Europe? I don’t think they are afraid of controversy given the collector’s editions they made available for Estival Versus and both them and XSEED said in tweets to Takaki that they’ll be happy to localise Valkyrie Drive.

    • Dgnfly

ya but i think there was more profit in a Ps4 game then in a psvita only game.

The Vita is still alive and well if you’re into niche titles like Valkyrie Drive. Hopefully if we get VD we’ll also get Net High.

    • Dgnfly

Ya but that’s just it for Niche not to mention how outdated the Psvita is strting to become and i should know i own one. I just wish it had more and better support then just Niche games and a more upgraded version cause the wifi is beyond useless.

    • j0eeyy_p

Fair points, but Sony won’t care to make an updated version and many people who aren’t hardcore Vita fans/collectors buy the PS4 or PC versions of Vita games, so there isn’t much love for the platform outside of the hardcore folk. Not to mention we keep getting shafted with digital only releases and we have to import, makes it hard to want to support the system sometimes. I say this as a Vita owner too.

    • Dgnfly

And basicly that’s what kinda killed the handheld for me especialy in todays world everything is starting to cost an arm or a leg.

They answered to someone asking about it “Patience young padawans”

Since they are aware of it I’d find it weird to not deconfirm it if it isn’t true.
