Project Code: Daten is a dungeon crawling RPG in development by Kadokawa Games. The game is set to be themed around Cthulhu mythos. Additionally, Kadokawa Games released a short teaser trailer.

“Tease” is the right word because the trailer doesn’t reveal anything about the game other than the title and the release year of 2017.

You can watch the trailer below of the full line-up of games announced:

Project Code: Daten is coming to PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita in 2017 in Japan.

More dungeon crawlers are always welcome and the Cthulu mythos is big enough to inspire a great game.

Kadokawa’s lineup looks awesome so far!
Root Letter and God Wars: Beyond Time look visually impressive and have interesting setups. I hope God Wars gets some graphical polish though and a good publisher behind the Western release. Both are already looking worthy of a spot in my PS Vita collection. Root Letter is day one.

Demon Gaze II also looks and sounds brilliant which is to be expected from Experience, and IA vocals are the icing on the cake. Hopefully it plays as good as the first game (which I still need to finish).

Reco Love looks cool, would buy if it gets localised but considering it’s a Vita exclusive I doubt it will get released outside of Japan.

Project Code Datan appeals to me immediately as it’s a dungeon RPG but we don’t know enough to get hyped about it.
