Horizon Zero Dawn | oprainfall

At the Sony Press Conference at E3 2016, the company showed off a new gameplay trailer for the upcoming Horizon Zero Dawn, under development by Guerrilla Games. The video, over eight and a half minutes long, can be seen below:

The trailer shows off combat with some of the large, hostile robots roaming the world, as well as mounting one of the docile ones to ride from place to place. The game appears to have an open world, as well as a dialogue choice system, as seen with the response wheel shown in the video. Players will be able to fight while mounted, using the protagonist’s bow and wide variety of arrows.

Horizon Zero Dawn is set to launch on PS4 on February 28, 2017 in North America, with EU and UK releases following on March 1 and 3, respectively.

The gameplay looks amazing, but Alloy needs to talk less.

  • Lord Ackercocke

Looks and plays pretty good. We’ll see how it pans out.

  • William Haderlie

This gives me a very Legend of Zelda vibe, especially that mounted combat. But in the very best of ways. One of my most anticipated games.

This game is probably the PS4 exclusive I’m most interested in. Something about hunting robot dinosaurs in a forest with a bow and arrow is just awesome.

Yeah it really looks like something. I hope the worl is vast and interesting to explore.
