The official SaGa Twitter account has announced some exciting news about their classic-RPG Romancing SaGa 2.

Square Enix recently released Romancing SaGa 2 on smartphone devices, but fans have been wondering about the PlayStation Vita version. Well it’s settled – the company is planning to bring the game West, but when? Well, sometime in the future. The post reads as follows:

Romancing SaGa 2 is available now on iPhone and Android, and is also coming soon to PlayStation Vita.

    Awesome news! Its great to see this is going to be somewhere that isn’t a phone. Although I do wish it’d also be announced for a PC release or something. Still, this is great! People were worried the Vita version was going to get shafted in the West like what’s happening with I Am Setsuna. I’m glad Square had decided to correct their mistakes.

      Yeah a Steam release for this game is well within the realms of possibility, considering how many Square ports are on it.

      I really hope a Vita release happens, and isn’t dependent on mobile sales being successful first.
