Super Mutant Alien Assault pic 9

Back in March, oprainfall played and put out impressions for Super Mutant Alien Assault, published by Surprise Attack games and developed by Cybernate. It looked to be a fun and frantic pixelated romp full of explosions, various abilities and tons of alien foes to demolish. Oh and did I mention that the levels are procedurally generated? So each adventure will be different, which is always a nice feature.

Now it is coming out of Early Access as of Summer 2016, and will be releasing for PC, PS4 and XBox One (though I wish it was coming to Wii U or 3DS, personally). Slated to run for $9.99, it should be a lot of fun for fans of retro styled, hardcore games. I myself will pay close attention when the full version finally comes out this Summer. About Josh Speer

Josh is a passionate gamer, finding time to clock in around 30-40 hours of gaming a week. He discovered Operation Rainfall while avidly following the localization of the Big 3 Wii RPGs. He enjoys SHMUPS, Platformers, RPGs, Roguelikes and the occasional Fighter. He’s also an unashamedly giant Mega Man fan, having played the series since he was eight. As Head Editor and Review Manager, he spends far too much time editing reviews and random articles. In his limited spare time he devours indies whole and anticipates the release of quirky, unpredictable and innovative games.
