We ran a story about the updated Persona 5 website made to countdown to the day of May 5. Well, it just so happens that hackers have stepped ahead of the Atlus team and announced the game for them.

A news post on an official Japanese Persona Channel, lists Persona 5 to be released on July 8 for PlayStation 4 and PC. This has turned out to be false. Additionally, the hackers left a message for Atlus.

[Author’s Edit] We originally ran this story off a tip, but it seems that said the countdown site was not real. The countdown is real, however, they meant that this release date on the Website was false. Sorry for the confusion.

Persona 5 is coming to the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4.

Yikes, well it could have been more malicious I suppose. Let’s hope they did not use the same password in other places.

  • Etherblaze

I was about to slap a bitch if they thought they could ignore PS3 after advertising it for PS3 and PS4 for so long.

Someone is playing Soul Hackers too much.

  • How embarrassing!
