Today, on their official Twitter page, the developers of the indie fighting game Skullgirls announced that they would be releasing a limited run of physical copies in the US. Here is the announcement:
To those wondering: We are planning on a limited physical run of #Skullgirls PS4 and possibly Vita for the US after the lobby patch!

As Mike Z himself knows, a lot of tournament players like having physical copies because we often are not playing on our own machines. So it’s nice to be able to bring a copy of the smaller fighting games with us for side-tournies and after hours hotel room marathons. So I’m sure they are excited to be adding this option as well. Judging from the twitter responses the PS Vita version is being highly requested, so we’ll see if that comes to fruition as well.
