Splatoon

Splatoon sold over a million units is Japan last month, and in celebration Nintendo announced a live concert featuring the game’s premiere idols, Callie and Marie. The Squid Sisters, accompanied by a live band, made their debut via hologram to sing several songs during Niconico Tokaigi 2016. Their introduction should be familiar to anyone who has played Splatoon, as it was a riff of their infamous battle stage introduction from the game. They’re eventually beamed in to a large crowd of their adoring fans and sing extended versions of their songs from Splatfest and the single player campaign. It truly has to be seen to be believed!

It’s unknown if this is a one-time concert or if the Squad Sisters are preparing to go on tour to meet their fans worldwide.

    Japan… never change.

I’m glad Japan gets awesome stuff like this. I wouldn’t ever begin to dream Nintendo of America would even consider something like this for the states. They don’t really give a shit about their consumer anymore.
