Comcept has some unfortunate news for Mighty no. 9’s Kickstarter backers and others looking forward to the game. Its release has been delayed once again, this time with the target date being pushed back to sometime in Spring of 2016.  In their announcement on the official website, Comcept cites “issues relating to the network modes” as the reason for the delay this time, and apologizes to their backers and asks for their support as they try to sort these problems out.

(My take: I wonder how much patience Mighty no. 9’s backers have left for further delays and apologies. I don’t see why they can’t release the game on February 9th and work on the network features later. I also happened to back this game, so this leaves me with a very sour impression as well.)

Not surprising. The entire handling of this Kickstarter has been a mess.

Sadly, the game looks to be dogshit anyways. I am ashamed I fell into the hype for this and learned my lesson on kickstarters the hard way. At least Mighty No. 9 taught me a much needed lesson about this kind of thing.

Same here. I was in a “Screw Capcom” mode, but realized that Kickstarter is a really flawed system in the end.

So it looks like Shovel Knight is the spirtual successor to Mega-Man whether Inafune likes it not. Mighty No. 9=4 delays. Shovel Knight=Several Ports, a half dozen updates, a free expansion, and an amiibo…

Maybe if they halted development for the other 100 games they’re working on they could get some shit done.

And to think I was excited about this. Why don’t they just up and cancel it seeing that it gets pushed back too many times.
