Plague Inc  had an incredible year in 2015.  Over 60 million people, or 1% of the world’s population, have been infected by the plague now.  Plague Inc was also successfully launched on the Xbox One, it’s first console. It was also once again the top mobile app in both the US and the UK, as well as being in the top ten mobile apps of every language it was localized in.

For those few who haven’t played Plague Inc yet, it is a strategic game where the player creates a plague and unleashes it upon a virtual Earth.  The player’s goal is to infect as many people as possible.  They can adapt their plague against human defenses. Executed with innovative game play, this game evolves the strategy genre and pushes mobile gaming  to new levels.

Ndemic Creations has also released it’s plans for this title in the upcoming year.  Plague Inc Evolved on Steam will be getting a cooperative multiplayer mode.  Custom scenarios made by the Steam users will be coming to the Xbox One version. A major new disease type will be coming out soon to all platforms, there is already a teaser for this new disease on the mobile version. And last but certainly not least, a new Plague Inc board game will be coming out in 2016.  Ndemic Creations promises more surprises than these are on the horizon as well.

About Roxanne Klassen

I am a 27 year old senior in the Media and Game Design program at UW-Whitewater. Besides writing about and playing games, I also like to make my own games.

Some of my favorite games include the Kingdom Hearts Series, Final Fantasy IX, Persona 3, Fire Emblem series, and of course most of the Zelda games ( I haven't played Zelda II yet).

I also love anime and manga, including One Punch Man, Cowboy Bebop, Code Geass, Shin Sekai Yori, Gatchaman Crowds, and FMA Brotherhood of course. Just to name a few. I have also taken 3 years of Japanese at UW-Whitewater.

I also am in love with board games. I have about 50 at home. Some of those are Legendary, Mice and Mystics, Betrayal at House on the Hill, and Adventure Time Munchkin.

Beyond all that I am a happily married mother of two. My sons are 7 and 5 years old. My entire family plays games together. My sons favorite game at the moment is Yokai Watch.
