When Bayonetta 2 first launched in 2014 it included a disc copy of the first Bayonetta. Such copies of Bayonetta 2 are becoming harder and harder to find.

However, there is good news for anyone looking for the game after Bayonetta’s inclusion on the Smash Bros. roster. Earlier today, Nintendo of America announced via their Twitter account that a standalone version of Bayonetta 2 would be available to purchase February 19, 2015.

As a reissue of a prior game, the suggested retail price is $29.99 as opposed to the $59.99 or $49.99 most new WiiU games cost. A digital version of the original Bayonetta can be purchased from the Nintendo eShop for $29.99.

For those who are undecided about whether to pick up this game, an oprainfall review of Bayonetta 2 is available here.

I am so beating myself over the head for not getting Bayonetta 2 w/ Bayonetta 1 for $60. I am such a dummy. ? But after hearing that the 2nd game will be getting a stand-alone re-release for $29.99, that’s not a bad deal if I do say so, myself. It may not have the 1st game as a physical copy but it is better than nothing considering there are the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions of the 1st game while the PS3 version runs like utter crap without a certain patch. There is also the option to get the 1st game digitally on the Wii U eShop for $29.99 but then we would have to use some kind of “Hard Drive” for more storage space for buying games digitally on Wii U like Bayonetta 1 & 2, Pikmin 3, and even Fatal Frame V. *Sigh*?

Either way, I suppose that it is better than nothing, the way I see it.

I use a 32gig Micro SD card for extra storage.

Even after the patch the game still runs at 30fps on PS3.
