Xenoblade Chronicles X - Nintendo, Why are you picking my bust size?

Hi y’all. Something caught my attention recently that I really need to vent about. Since I have this amazing website to share my thoughts and opinions on I figured now was a good time. Anyhow, a video caught my attention on social media the other day as often happens! No, it wasn’t cats doing cute things or even any animal doing something cute/crazy. This time, it was a man telling me that it wasn’t that big of a deal that I no longer had control over my breast size in Xenoblade Chronicles X.

What? So many, many things wrong here.

kill-me-baby-anime-question-mark-confused

I’m not even going to touch other alterations or censorship issues revolving around this game. We have covered that with both news and opinion pieces, and y’all can feel free to go browse those articles if you haven’t already. I’m sticking strictly to the issue of removing the breast slider that allows players to alter their breast size in a created character.

This is a feature that was in the game and it has been decided that it should be removed for our version. I’m not attacking any game that doesn’t have this feature. It is one thing to not have an option, it is another to take the time to remove one that already exists. I’m not sure why they did this and I definitely don’t agree with that decision. Regardless, it has been decided, and now any created character that happens to be of the female persuasion has to have the same chest size.

*looks down at chest, and glances around at some others in the room*

Nope, that won’t work! I can clearly see that all women are not created equal. Just in my immediate family we have 4 different women with 4 different bra sizes. Now clearly I am not going to go into any more detail on that but I hope you see what I am getting at. And just in case you don’t I’ll point it out.

All women look different.

Crystals Corner Breast Size

I know. I know. Shock and awe, right? We aren’t all cut from the same cloth. Even if we were, that cloth would be sized differently to fit each of our bodies. The size of a woman’s bust is a key feature in how we look. Most people who want to make a custom character that represents them would like to make it as real as possible. I understand that some features may not be available. We might not have our exact hair style represented because of the massive amounts of hairstyles that exist. Boobs aren’t that complicated though. I’m not saying my character should have my exact boob shape but why the hell can’t she have at least an accurate size?

So far, speculation is going around with the idea that Nintendo wanted to stop people from making a younger looking, flat-chested character, and dressing her in an outfit not deemed appropriate by most of us for an underage girl. Alright. That might even be a valid complaint.

Actually, now that I think about it, no it isn’t. The problem with this argument is that we are failing to see boobs as anything other than sexual objects. Do you know what boobs are? Fat! They are fat pockets. They exist for the sole purpose of feeding our children. That’s it! That is why they are on my body, so that if I ever have a child I can nourish it.

Konata flat chested

Another thing to consider is what if a teenage girl is playing the game and she is flat-chested? Sorry girlie! You are going to have to use this one breast size. Let’s just hope it doesn’t do any further damage to her ego since society already tells her she doesn’t look good enough in a tank top.

On the flip side of this, I’ve seen comments that maybe they don’t want the guys to make large-chested characters and play as a slightly slutty character (because clearly y’all are pervs who only play as a woman character because… well, bewbs).

Seriously I’ve seen people comment with ideas like that recently. It was mostly men saying that by the way, so you guys might want to track them down, smack them around a bit, and set them straight.

Unless that is in fact the reason you play as a woman, in which case… carry on.

Crystals Corner Ending Picture

We all know that bigger boobs mean over-sexualized, right? Sarcasm of course, since that is pure bullshit. Y’all know how I feel about that. And if you don’t, you should go read a different Crystal’s Corner where I get into an issue regarding if I myself am sexist, if it is OK for me to like certain video games, and being confident that the way I dress isn’t over-sexualizing myself.

How about instead of worrying what we might do with our create-a-character Nintendo lets us choose what we want our video game creations to look like? Women already have people telling them what they should look like enough in real life, and frankly, we don’t need it pushed down our throats in our entertainment.

Sorry Nintendo, but a cookie cutter chest won’t work for me and I doubt it will work for most people. It might seem insignificant in a game with so much going on and hundreds of hours of gameplay being poured into it, but that is a long time to play and not see the bust size you wanted. I do realize that in the grander scheme of things, this doesn’t equate to, for example, women not getting paid as much as men, but it is still important.

What's up everyone? Crystal here! I spend my time writing up the news for you all and keeping us all up to date with incoming game info from Japan. I do a little bit of everything else around here, too. 🙂 Happy Reading!

  • Raymond

Here we go again. If females can complain about breast size in video games why can’t I have ding dong silder?(I didn’t want to say the word so I said ding dong.) In the real world my ding dong is small. ( not kidding ) so I want a something in the game to make my dong bigger.

Come on nintendo…..this is not fair…

    • Elvis Marrero

The only difference being, boobs show through clothing most times. Dicks not so much. Dicks are sexual objects. Boobs are not. And really if you are gonna compare a boob with a dick u have problems. That would only make sense as an argument if there is an option to change pussy size or how much of a camel toe can be shown on the women characters.
The only thing you can ask for is for a muscle sliders to make your character muscular.. that would be nice..

    • blackice85

Agreed, men should have a pectoral slider as an analog to the breast slider. Just like women, not all men are built the same.

    • Crystal Colwell

I agree that would be a nice feature to see.

    • Nicholas Perry

Not all dicks are the same though! :p Flacid size varies greatly.
But that’s beyond the point, the equivalent setting would be chest size for men.

    • azariosays

I think this is an issue because it was taken out. If Japan had a bulge slider and took it out for the west we would probably have something to say about that, but Nintendo is choosing to objectify breasts in a way that’s wrong when it’s honestly not that big of a deal. No one would of cared if they left that in, but Nintendo forcefully made the choice to sexualize breasts or assume we sexualized them and did this.

    • blackice85

Exactly, Nintendo is making it into an issue when it wouldn’t have been before. Lots of games with avatar creation have breast sliders, and no one freaks out about it. It’s not a new thing.

    • Crystal Colwell

I’m not complaining about the size of breasts in video games. That would be an entirely different topic, and is not something I generally discuss since I don’t care what size a character is. They can be A cups or DD and it makes no difference to me.

  • Wolfe

    Well spoken.

  • Jonah Rosen

I’ve read your article (as well as read the “Am I sexist?” article you’ve linked), and I have to agree with you 100%. This BS has gotten so bad that I’ve decided to only buy this game and other games that pull shit like this second hand until these companies get their shit together and stop with all this unneeded censorship. Anyways, keep on keeping on.

    • Crystal Colwell

Thanks for reading them both. I hope you enjoyed!

It would be great if Nintendo let us know why they removed this feature. There could very well be a great reason that explains it and makes us all feel better. We all know that won’t happen though, so we are forced to come to our own conclusions.

    • Jonah Rosen

Oh yeah, I thought they were very well written and were very on the mark about a lot of things.

And I would love to hear their reason, but I would also love it if they could hear the fan backlash (though it is kind of 50/50 on both ends from what I’ve seen.) and realize it was a pretty stupid move on their part, therefore putting that feature back in, but that feels like a pipe dream at this point considering it’s NoA we’re talking about.

  • Raymond

Ok I have to know because this is annoying the hell out of me.

Someone please explain why this the most game braking this nintendo has ever done. Please just one person. I need to know.

    • Crystal Colwell

Did someone say this was game breaking? I certainly didn’t in the article. I just don’t understand why the feature was removed. That is bugging the hell out of me. 😉

    • Raymond

      Why is it bugging you?

    • azariosays

er did you read the article?

    • Crystal Colwell

Not sure what to say here as azario said exactly what I was going to say.

    • Montana Szobonya

Noone said it was game breaking. Ridiculous, unnecessary and childish yes but gamebreaking not at all. Nintendo needs to learn that they are not the morality police they are a publishing company in this respect and it is not their content to alter. The game had a breast slider and Nintendo chose to remove it. This choice was asinine and we need to let them know. If you would have read the article you would have learned that their are girls on both sides of the breast spectrum that want the ability to alter their bust. If the option was never there in the first place this wouldn’t be an issue, the problem is that Nintendo purposely removed it from western versions of the game. Because really big breasts or really small breasts are just way too sexy for our repressed society.

    • Clairity

It kind of reminds me of how old school Nintendo would remove any reference to religion or violence not just in games they had a hand in, but every single game that got onto their platform. Just replace religion and violence with stuff that might be seen as sexist somehow by the new moral censors, and then you’ve basically got what’s going on today.

    • blackice85

I never even understood that, how fragile would you have to be if something was making a reference to your religion and it deeply offended you somehow? Like I don’t even know why you’d want to cater to that nonsense, personal beliefs are personal and nothing anyone says about them should effect how you feel about them. I really don’t understand how people can get offended by stuff in media.

  • Melody

I called it when I heard about this. I was on Gamnesia earlier and saw a lot of people complaining about the removal. And just like I said, there were no lolicons complaining. If Nintendo removed it because they were afraid of being accused of making Pedo bait, that is stupid because as I pointed out, you can still create a loli character, the breasts are small enough that they could be reasonably expected on a woman of pretty much any age, even a young girl. If Nintendo removed it because they didn’t want fanservice, again it was stupid, and quite frankly inconsistent. Being able to change breast size is fanservice, but wearing skimpy outfits is not? And it isn’t just women, both men and women have ridiculous outfits (they’re treated as “armor” despite not really covering much) that are clear fanservice. The end result is that Nintendo pissed off a lot of people. Many are pissed because they wanted to make their character have bigger breasts, many wanted to make their in-game breasts smaller. Many just wanted to do so to make a more accurate avatar. But others have been defending the decision. Supposedly since some dude can make a big breasted woman and that apparently is reason to censor. Others see it that breast size correlates with age and thinks somebody wants to make themselves a loli waifu and for them that is reason to censor. Clearly many of these people haven’t taken a step outside in quite a while. They’ve forgotten that women don’t all have the same breast size, that many adults have breasts that are on the small or even nonexistent side. And that many young girls have much larger breasts. Sometimes they have them naturally, other times they have surgery to make them larger. At the end of the day, breasts are a terrible way to judge age because it is so inaccurate and would turn up more false positives and negatives than actual correct answers.

To be honest, it is tempting to bring up all of the people that were okay with censorship just the other week when it was something they didn’t like. If you’re okay with that, then you should be okay with this. As always I am against censorship. I and others are against it not only when it involves things we care about or are affected by, but also things we don’t care about or are not affected by. That’s called taking a principled stand. It needs consistency. Not everybody playing the game is male. There ware women as well and many have also expressed their problem with this censorship. People forget other people who might be affected by this: transgender women. Along with women who just don’t get large breasts, there are many transgender women who haven’t started or have just started hormone therapy and it is logical that they might not have large breasts or really anything yet. Even many who have been on hormone therapy might still not have even smaller breasts. If even cisgender women can grow up and not get much of a breast size, why would every transgender women automatically get large breasts. Just like with their cisgender counterparts, breast size tends to vary among women.

    • Jonah Rosen

Not to mention if you watched Legend of Localizations video on the breast slider, it’s not even a significant difference, basically goes from A or AA cup to B cup. (I’m not too good at telling cup sizes, but the change wasn’t even that noticeable. So I don’t even see the reason to remove it to begin with.)

  • Derek

I don’t see why this argument can’t be extended to videogames that never had such a feature to begin with.

    • Lynn Kitty

      Right?

    • Raymond

That’s why I’m trying to get them to explain this argument.

    • blackice85

Because here it’s censorship/Westernization. If it never had those features to begin with, then all versions are equal. Sure it’s good to request and advocate for more features and customization, but that’s not the issue here. They took the time to remove something that was already programmed into the game.

    • Raymond

Ok them why is it such a bad thing?

    • blackice85

Because I, and apparently many others, don’t like it when they censor or Westernize games. Do you?

    • Raymond

But you will still play said game right?

    • blackice85

Yeah? No one is saying this is game breaking, but it’s insulting to the player base just the same.

    • Raymond

Wait wait…..it’s insulting and it bugs the hell out of you but you will still play it?

    • Jonah Rosen

Well yeah, you can be annoyed by changes, features or lack thereof and still want to play it. I still want to play the game, I’m just going to wait for a used copy to do so so I don’t give Nintendo my money.

    • blackice85

If I didn’t play every game that had something annoying in it, then I’d never play anything. It sounds like you’re saying I shouldn’t be able to criticize it at all if I still want to play it, is that it?

    • azariosays

this is the arguments we see. just because we are annoyed with something doesn’t mean we don’t want to experience it. I’m annoyed with school, but I still go to it and pay for it lol. it’s a bad argument.

    • blackice85

He’s basically a concern troll. If the change doesn’t bother him he should just say it, I’d respect that. Instead he’s trying to put words into our mouths, rather than debate or discuss the actual issue.

    • Raymond

Not trolling. I’m just way to stupid to see why this was such a big deal.

    • blackice85

I know on a technical level it’s a small change, but you don’t think it’s stupid of them to remove a customization option out of another region’s version of the game? What are they even trying to accomplish really?

    • Wolfe

It’s a feature that was in the original that people clearly wanted. Nothing stupid about consumers voicing their displeasure at changes made to a product.

    • Crystal Colwell

It can be. I am just personally more annoyed that they had the feature and then removed it. I would like to see the option in more games.

    • Hogtree Octovish

Because as you guys keep saying, it’s not a Big Deal™.

Difference is, though, it’s still removing a feature from the original product for no valid reason.
If Monolith would’ve never put it in, yes, most people probably wouldn’t care.

But we’re not talking about that.
We’re talking about a product that was (presumably) censored because NoA (and probably NoE) don’t think we can handle a breast modifier in a game set after our home planet was destroyed by an alien war.

And, yes, I am still going to get the game but only because I want to support Monolith and want to play a pseudo-sequel to the original Xenoblade.

But you ignoramuses have to make it into a double-bind, don’t you.
Buy it and you support censorship.
Don’t buy it and you don’t want Ninty to release any more Xeno games outside of Japan.

      Fuck it.
As someone born in the mid-eighties and started gaming in the late-nineties, I’ve dealing with this bullshit for nearly two decades and I’m sick of people moralising my gaming choices.

It was GTA and “murder simulators” a decade ago and it’s alleged “sexism” and “oversexualisation” now.
Just let me play the games as the original developers intended, without all this bullshit.

    • Hogtree Octovish

And before that it was Carmageddon.
Before that it was Dungeons and Dragons.
Elvis Presley’s hips and the Rock and Roll music genre.

And onwards-and-onwards through history, moralising bullshitters telling us what is or isn’t acceptable in our entertainment media.

  • Lynn Kitty

Already said my peace on the other discussion on this. Just gonna clarify, we men didn’t get groin counters either. At least in Japan they thought about you women, nothin for us dudes on either version.

    • Raymond

That’s what I said. Japan dose not care about men. Lol

    • blackice85

I wouldn’t mind a ‘dong slider’ existing, but let’s be honest, that’s not normally a visible feature of a fully clothed male. Breasts are a distinctive and visible feature on females, clothed or not, so you can’t make a direct comparison.

As I commented earlier, the analog to that would be a pectoral slider for men, as they do have different sized chests/muscles too, but again it’s not as noticeable or as well defined while clothed.

    • Lynn Kitty

Maybe, but what about the guys that aren’t fully clothed? And also, why are you so worried about boob size too? Are you saying that maybe it’s better to teach people to complain about things when they don’t go their way, rather than just be okay with their body? They did take out the detail, that is the main point true. But be thankful that at least you got one in Japan.

    • blackice85

So, let’s get a pec slider then? I’m fine with that. I’m more ‘worried’ about the boob slider because it’s a stupid change for NoA to make, we don’t need them to play mommy for us. If it was never there in the first place, I might think to myself that they could have improved character customization by adding more options, but here they’re removing something they had already made for no good reason.

I don’t know what the heck you’re saying about teaching people to complain about things, could you elaborate? As far as being OK with your body, what’s that have to do with letting people customize their avatar?

    • Lynn Kitty

Because that’s the main point the girls in the audience are trying to say. That no boob is the same, so they want their boob size on their avatar. I’m gay, and most of the time play females in games because I like the outfits and I always find that if my character proves to be a bad ass, then for reason, for them to be a woman makes them even more badass to me. So I don’t really understand the women’s point of view, but I don’t think you should make such a big deal over a change. What would be bad is if they took out female as a customization choice all together.

    • blackice85

I don’t know how else to explain it to you then. I think removing a feature is bad in general, but especially so when it is in all likelihood because of some moral busybodies, or in the name of Westernization. If it’s not such a big deal, then why didn’t they leave it alone? What possible justification do they have?

    • Lynn Kitty

I’m not sure what Nintendo thinks. You’d have to ask the heads there for an answer. And yeah, unless the feature was offensive or something equally bad, it’s bad to remove it. But maybe we should find out the reason before we flip the table. Maybe if someone could talk to them, we could maybe get it put back in, or at least understand why.

    • blackice85

I’d love for clarification too, but they don’t have a good track record for explaining their decisions. However, considering they censored Lin’s outfit too (and increased her age I believe), I’m pretty certain they did it for some sexual content reason, as absurd as that sounds.

    • Lynn Kitty

I’ve tried looking for any kind of answer for it, and we just know about the fact of the matter itself. And I don’t think I can just call their customer service and get an answer. But I’m sure they’ll tell us soon.

    • blackice85

Honestly I’ll be shocked if they have an official statement regarding it. I’d expect maybe a tweet from a treehouse member and not much else. They don’t like controversy so acknowledging it isn’t in their best interest.

    • Lynn Kitty

I will admit, the answer they gave for the same sex couples in Tomodachi Life not being included was really stupid.

    • Crystal Colwell

Yea but why should be settle for that? Why settle for oh at least you can make a woman character.

That’s like saying a storm that blew power lines down on your shed isn’t bad enough to complain about because well at least it wasn’t a tornado that killed you.

    • Lynn Kitty

Not saying settle persay, but maybe find the reason why beforehand. and also, that anology is kinda true though. Shed may have been destroyed, but at least you aren’t dead. XD

    • blackice85

Yeah but if your shed got wrecked, you’d still be pissed off. And finding the reason why isn’t feasible (because it’s Nintendo), and doesn’t matter to begin with. There’s no rational reason why they would remove it, not when it’s in the Japanese version, as well as many other games worldwide, and no one makes a fuss over it.

So while I’m curious what sort of BS reason they came up with to justify it, I don’t really care. Anyone who’s complaining probably doesn’t care why either.

    • Crystal Colwell

Lol I get weird with my analogies. I’m still allowed to be mad about the shed though. 😉

I would love to know the reason. I just doubt Nintendo will ever give us one so we are forced to come to our own conclusion.

  • Cause NOA believes that immature boys will just make female characters with gigantic boobies.

Really what it comes down to. In any case if enough people raise a fuss they can always patch it back in.

    • blackice85

That’s probably their reasoning yes, but it doesn’t even allow for that big of a change, nothing that would look out of place on a normal woman.

    • Jonah Rosen

Yeah, like I said in another post, the breat slider only goes between like A cup to B cup or AA to A (I’m not an expert in cup sizes, but the change was barely noticeable, so it doesn’t make a lick of sense to even take it out.)

  • MG4M3R

Maybe if we make enough noise Nintendo will put it back in an update.

At least in Mario Maker, they added several things suggested by fans.

    • blackice85

I wouldn’t hold my breath, they did this for some ‘moral’ or ‘cultural difference’ reason most likely, I doubt they’ll retract their decision.

    • Wolfe

Even if Nintendo doesn’t, the Internet will.

  • Jean-Philippe Méthot

To be honest, I’m getting more and more disillusioned with Nintendo. I thought Xenoblade and Fire emblem’s dual audio and great localizations were steps in the right direction. Then Bravely Default happened and now this. I ended up buying the japanese version second hand, as I am not planning to buy US Xenoblade X anymore. Censorship and lack of japanese voices killed it for me.

  • Josh S.

“Boobs aren’t that complicated though.” Bless you, Crystal 😀 Very well written piece. It’s very hard not to be disillusioned with NOA these days. I’ll still support the games I like, but I wish they would be more transparent and consider their audience more.

    • Crystal Colwell

      Ty 🙂

  • Nicholas Perry

    *Slow clap*

  • Cephrien

Not to rustle anyones jimmies.. but a lot of people who are here talking about boycotting this game over the lack of bust slider are probably the same people who support Fallout 4 and Bethesda’s routine lack of /everything/.

“Oh. Lack of imagination, bugs, glitches, crashes, dull gameplay and fugly graphics. HERES MY MONEY.”

    “Bust slider removal? NO SALE.”

    JUST sayin’.
I don’t disagree that the bust slider removal is dumb. But Im not condemning Monolith Soft and this awesome game they made over some dumb decisions that Nintendo made. They still deserve the support.

    • blackice85

Agreed, the ones saying to boycott are probably doing more harm than good, as Nintendo isn’t going to equate that with the nonsense NoA is doing, especially since I know most people won’t know or care. Me, I’ve been waiting for this for nearly 3 years now, and I’m probably still going to enjoy it a lot. I just don’t like how NoA is localizing games lately. I stick up for them a lot, but think they’re wrong on these decisions. That’s not how you let the industry mature.

    • ZORK

I agree on this as well. Boycotting the game over one (ultimately minor) detail will send the wrong message. It’d be better to get the game, but still be honest and make it clear towards Nintendo that removing the bust slider was a bad idea.

    • Wolfe

On the contrary. I cancelled my pre-order of Fallout 4 when I saw Bethesda scrambling to shield themselves behind an embargo wall and mocking fans whose streams they were pulling down.

Bad business is bad business and should be answered in the only language companies understand: sales.

    • Cephrien

Good on you man. Unfortunately millions of others aren’t smart like you and threw their money at that garbage.

Monolith Soft is actually a good company and doesnt shovel out garbage. This whole slider thing isnt even their doing. You know what message they’ll get if we boycott this game? That it doesnt have an audience.
Did we already forget how much of a bitch it was to get Xenoblade Chronicles in the west?

Yeah its bad business, but this is still a great, quality game that deserves its sales.

    • Wolfe

It’s a catch 22. If I -do- purchase the game it will demonstrate to Big N that this is acceptable. I’m fairly certain that a large amount of messages to them (of which I’ve sent a couple) along with slower sales with an acknowledgement of fan boycott would not go unnoticed.

I understand your point. But I personally believe a hardline sales approach is all these corporations understand.

    • David S

I feel bad Monolith Soft has to take a hit for this too, but accepting a nerfed product just means it will continue to happen. But Monolith Soft also could have leaned on NOA to ensure they would localize it properly, without unnessicary censorship. In the end, both Monolith Soft and the customers have only NOA to blame.

    • David S

For me, its not just about the costumes and bust slider in this game. It’s about this, and all the games previously that have be needlessly censored or altered based on no clear reasoning (since NOA never deigns to grace us with anything other than silence). Are they major changes, no, not in the grand scheme. But it leaves a bad taste in my mouth that taints the way i feel when I play that would not have otherwise been there. They may just be the fan-servicey parts, but so what? There was no need to remove them. Much worse has been allowed in T rated games so I highly doubt it was to secure the ESRB rating.

Bottom line, I have limited time and money to spend on gaming these days, and there is no shortage of titles to choose from. I would much rather spend that on something complete than something even slightly censored. I may miss out, but skipping a censored game sits better with me that supporting it. I already passed on Fatal Frame 5 and not regretted it, I can do it for this as well.

  • Sylveria Shini

I see a lot of comments trying to equate the boob slider to crotch bulge sliders or something. Personally I think the boob slider should be equated to like body musculature or something of that nature that’s more indicative of sexual attractiveness for a male, but that’s besides my point. If we ignore the what and why of the situation, the primary issue remains that aspects of the game were removed. In the west we are getting and objectively lesser product than what was offered to Japan. The morality policing and what could easily be perceived as body-shaming nature of what was changed are comorbidities of the primary issue of cutting content.

      Yup, agreed.

As a guy and a feminist I think it’s a valid concern that it’s being removed from the game. Women deserve accurate representation too. I don’t know much about the character creation, but if this is such a concern maybe they should have made 3 or 4 default body types to choose from with no sliders at all, that way we can avoid all the concerns of:

    1) Loli characters
    2) Cartoonishly sexualized characters

I’m really not sure which (if any) Nintendo was paranoid about. Also, it’s not a super secret that men are perverts and immature. Not all men, but, y’know… a lot of them? There’s a market for this kind of stuff as seen by all the alternate costumes that get censored out that this site has written and complained about. If Nintendo doesn’t want people making impossible proportion characters than maybe they should adjust the sliders’ values/limits to prevent that from happening?

I just found this site thanks to TVTropes, and let me start by saying it’s interesting to get a female POV on this particular topic. While my circle of gaming friends has a fairly balanced gender ratio, we haven’t really discussed this topic yet.

As someone who greatly enjoyed the character creation in games like Soul Calibur, I can totally agree with you that removing the breast slider was pretty much a no-brainer.

Granted, if I’m going to get Xenoblade Chronicles X (I’m still pondering, on one side the game looks cool, on the other various aspects of it reminds me of games I haven’t really enjoyed), I will most likely create a male character and won’t delve too much into the options for female characers, so it’s a change that won’t affect me directly, but it’s still a dumb thing to remove such a minor feature. In fact, I’d be less bothered if they had taken the other route and alter the underwear to the same as Lin’s for female characters if their body shape fits certain criteria.

Actually, this topic reminds me of a problem I ran into while creating male characters in some other game: Beards! Back in Soul Calibur III, there were a handful of various beards to choose from, and every one of them could be applied to any face in the sortiment. Yet in Soul Calibur V, you get instead multiple versions of some faces with some beard variants. While it’s nowhere as bad as removing them completely, it does limit your options for creating characters with beards, and that can be annoying under some circumstances.

Just let Raymond have a dick slider, is it that big of a deal?

    • ZORK

Actually… considering that Raymond apparently thinks that boobs are equal to pingas, it kinda is, because that comparison is incorrect.

Breasts are a secondary sexual characteristic, while the penis is a primary sexual characteristic.

      Simple as that.
