Zutto Mae Kara Suki Deshita: Kokuhaku Jikkou Iinkai is an anime film adaptation of HoneyWorks’ project, Kokuhaku Jikkou Iinkai ~Ren’ai Series~ (Confession Executive Committee ~Love Series~) The project revolves around the love lives of teenangers and focuses on songs such as “Kokuhaku Yokō Renshū” (Confession Rehearsal), “Hatsukoi no Ehon” (The Picture Book of the First Love), and “Yakimochi no Kotae” (The Answer to Jealousy). HoneyWorks has released two albums focused on this project titled Zutto Mae Kara Suki Deshita. And Boku Ja Dame Desu Ka?. In addition to the anime film, three novels have been released for the project as well as two vomics.

Most of the songs in the project have been sung by GUMI and all of them have entered the Hall of Fame on Niconico. The YouTube uploads of the songs were successful as well with many of them garnering over a million views. You can listen to one of the songs from Kokuhaku Jikkou Iinkai ~Ren’ai Series~ below. The title of this song is “Kokuhaku Yokō Renshū” (Confession Rehearsal). Part of this song can be heard near the end of the anime film’s PV.

I’m certainly going to be looking forward to this film when it releases, I’m a sucker for romance anime and the voice cast is pretty solid. If you’re interested in the film at all check out its official website HERE and its official Twitter account HERE. The film is set to have a theatrical release in Japan on April 23, 2016.
