Monkey Paw is releasing Tomba! 2 The Evil Swine Return on PlayStation Network in English today. The game was previously released last year on PSN, but in Japanese. Fans who purchased the Japanese version will be pleased to know that they will be able to download the English version for free after following some steps on Monkey Paw’s website.

Tomba! 2 is described via Press Release:

Tomba! 2: The Evil Swine Return is a cartoony, mission-based action/adventure game from Tokuro Fujiwara, the legendary game creator who produced and/or directed dozens of classic video games like Ghosts ‘n Goblins, the original Resident Evil and most of the core Mega Man series. Both Tomba! games have a cult following of fans who fondly recall playing them on the original PlayStation console.

Monkey Paw will also be giving away Tomba plushie’s on Twitter:

Between now and Christmas day, North American PSN fans who Retweet theTomba! 2 announcement from MonkeyPaw Games’ Twitter account (@MonkeyPawGames) will be entered into a random drawing to win one of over 100 limited-edition plush Tomba figures, awarded at the rate of two per day. These limited-edition plushies are not sold in stores.

Will you be purchasing Tomba! 2 The Evil Swine Return on PSN?

Its about time Tomba 2 was released in English. While I appreciated seeing the Japanese version, I didn’t buy it because I knew I wouldn’t get far or not enjoy it due to not knowing the language.
