Transformers Devastation

Transformers: Devastation is a forthcoming action beat ’em up game that pays loving tribute to the popular and well regarded eighties weekday afternoon cartoon series. From what we’ve seen so far, the Platinum Games developed title boasts a painstaking attention to detail and the combat that looks to be as crazy cool as anything they’ve ever done. While we still have no way of knowing exactly what we’ll be getting when this game comes out later this year, Platinum’s pedigree is unquestionable and it’s entirely reasonable to expect anything they produce to be of the highest caliber.

Activision is publishing the game and they’ve just let slip what the exclusive bonus content will be for those early adopters who decided to voice their support for Transformers: Devastation by throwing down on the pre-order. Those of you who opted in early will get three character skins and three weapons as a reward: Nemesis Prime Skin & Dark Star Saber Weapon, Red Alert Skin & Photon Disruptor Weapon, and Goldfire Skin & Gold Hunter Weapon. Take a look at the announce flyer here.

Are you getting hyped for Transformers: Devastation? Published by Activision and developed by Platinum Games, Prime and the crew will be rolling out on October 6, 2015 for Sony Playstation 4, Microsoft Xbox One, Sony Playstation 3 and Microsoft Xbox 360. Get your preorder in if you want the extra content!

About Tom Tolios

Really smart, talks too much, loves the video games and the Star Wars and the Game of Thrones, likes the manga and some anime and knows that Kentaro Miura's Berserk is the greatest thing ever made.

Of course I’m excited, it’s a Platinum developed game. Just wish it had a WiiU version. But I’ll have to get the PS3 version.

I got to try out a demo of Devastation at FanExpo over the weekend and it was pretty good. There were some issues with touchy controls when it came to shooting and transforming but otherwise it was Bayonetta with Transformers. The voice acting really sells this game with so many returning VAs from the original show, some of which have been retired for years.
