Project X Zone 2

Bandai Namco has posted a new E3 gameplay trailer for Project X Zone 2, the sequel to 2012’s amazing 3DS  crossover strategy RPG that features characters from their own franchises, Capcom and Sega properties as well.

This new trailer didn’t give us a full roster and it didn’t show all the different gameplay mechanics but we were treated to a very cool series of character team ups as the pairs in question dished punishing tag team combos on enemies. Characters from Yakuza: Dead Souls, Tekken, Mega Man X, Virtua Fighter and Tales of Vesperia make appearances here, and it’s all capped off by Street Fighter II Shotokan/Ansatsuken brothers Ryu and Ken being the world warriors we all know them to be.

While there’s no footage of Devil May Cry hero and my personal favorite Dante in here (he’s already confirmed for the sequel), I’m nevertheless delighted to no end by this sneak peek. Have a look see for yourself and enjoy the mayhem!

Project X Zone 2 is slated for release on Nintendo 3DS in Autumn 2015, but no firm launch date has been set yet.
