Today via press release Atlus USA announced that Legend of Legacy would be coming to North and South America this fall for the 3DS. Here are some details straight from the press release:

Good morning! It’s time we reveal the best-kept secret in ATLUS’ history – we are publishing the RPG title The Legend of Legacy in North and South America!

From a staff of legend – wait for it – ary developers, including but not limited to illustrator Tomomi Kobayashi (SaGa series), renowned composer Masashi Hamauzu (SaGa, Final Fantasy XIII), and writer Masato Kato (Chrono Trigger), The Legend of Legacy is an RPG adventure where players unravel the secret agendas each one of seven explorers has in store for the mysterious new island, Avalon. Because when an island materializes in the middle of the sea from out of nowhere, exploring for the sake of exploration is out just plain out of the question.

Take any of the seven explorers to reveal their own conclusion at the story’s end, then start New Game plus with a new adventurer for a different take on the story. Not to mention, ATLUS made some additional balance tweaks for the release in the Americas!

The game will release both digitally and physically this holiday season for $39.99/CA$49.99!

Looks like this title will also be at E3, so hopefully ours guys can get some hands on time with there and give us some more information. Until then here are a few screen shots to hold you over.

About Steve Baltimore

Steve started with oprainfall not long after the campaign moved from the IGN forums to Facebook. Ever since, he has been fighting to give all non-mainstream RPGs a fair voice. As the site admin, he will continue to do this and even show there is value in what some would deem "pure ecchi." He loves niche games and anime more than anything... well, except maybe Neptune.

This looks really similar to bravely default. Me gusta.

I’ve heard it’s really light on story, but anything from Masato Kato makes me interested.
