Back in August 2013, you may recall that a game called Yatagarasu: Attack on Cataclysm got funded on IndieGogo. Created as a fan project by veterans of the SNK series, it was slated to release sometime in 2014. Suffice to say the workload exceeded expectations, and the game has been pushed back to 2015. The good news is, that release date is just around the corner, slated to come out July 7th on Steam for $14.99!

Though Yatagarasu is coming out in July, various features will be implemented after the fact via updates. This decision was made with the intent to achieve worldwide distribution for hungry fans first, probably not a bad idea given the delay. This version of Yatagarasu will include features not found in the version released solely in Japan last year. Some of those features are the following – Character Commentaries, English and Japanese language support, Training Mode Challenges, new stages and much more. I’m sure fans will be very happy that Nyu Media is finally publishing this long anticipated fighting game. To allay any confusion, Nicalis is still working on porting the original version of the game, to be titled Legend of Raven, to consoles at a later point in time. Either way, it’s good that this game is finally going to be available to play.
