Bandai Namco announced Tales of Beseria, the latest game in the long running Tales of Series. As of right now, not a whole lot has been revealed however at this year’s Tales of Festival they showed the main female character. She is a pirate named Velvet voiced by Rina Satou, who also did the voice of Presa in the Tales of Xillia duology. The theme of the game is supposed to revolve around pirates.

We do not know a release date yet even for Japan, but it has been revealed that Tales of Beseria will be released on both the PlayStation 3 and 4. Since the theme of the game is pirates, what kind of mechanics do you think will be incorporated into the game? Perhaps a customizable ship or ability to recruit crewmembers and attack other ships?

You know what I love about this, namco had not forgotten the people who still have ps3 and want to play this game. I will up grade to Ps4 some day but I just don’t have the money for it. Who knows if the next tales game after this will still be on Ps3 but at least they have not given up on the system like sony has.

I wouldn’t get too excited. There’s not even a release so maybe mid 2016 earliest. Add 8 months to localize. Wouldn’t be shocked if Bandai Namco only brought over the PS4 version by the time 2017 rolls around.

By the time (2017) the PS4 is much cheaper than right now. Otherwise you could just finance it. I had to do it as well even though there’s just one game worth playing (in my opinion, Type-0).

Expect more information about Tales of Berseria in next week’s issues of Weekly Famitsu and Dengeki PlayStation magazines.
The animated cutscenes will be done again by ufotable. Also today a Tales of 20th Anniversary anime project (maybe with elements of Xillia and Zestria) is announced, to be animated by the same studio.
#TalesOfFestival2015 – No new mobile ‘Tales of’ game was announced.

    • Nero Nocturne Orion

Like the fact that ufotable’s making the cutscenes. Fate Stay/Night Unlimited Blade Works (2014/2015) just looks so astonishing, can’t wait for it (Tales of Beseria).
