Deception IV: The Nightmare Princess | oprainfall

Koei Tecmo Europe announced on their Twitter feed today that Deception IV: The Nightmare Princess will be launching in Europe on July 17, 2015 for Sony PS4, PS3 and PS Vita. The game is an enhanced update to last year’s dungeon keeper strategy simulation Deception IV: Blood Ties.  In addition to being the first Deception game for PS4, The Nightmare Princess also features a new character named Valgyrie who can not only set traps to harass explorers, but can directly attack them by delivering punishing kicks that send them flailing across the room. Valgyrie’s mean streak doesn’t end there, though. Once a kicked enemy hits the ground, she can stomp on them or boot them right into waiting traps.

The new quest mode features 100 missions that you can take on as Valgyrie, with rewards ranging from new traps to new abilities that aid in her efforts to thwart hapless adventurers that stumble onto her turf. Quest Mode also unlocks all kinds of features for the new Deception Studio mode, which allows the player to create their own characters, monsters and traps to populate the dungeon with. So, players looking to create the ultimate killer labyrinth will definitely reap the benefits of completing the quest mode. All the features and characters from the previous version of Deception IV will also be included, so, if you didn’t take part in the fun the first time around, now’s your chance.

Deception IV: The Nightmare Princess is slated for release on July 14, 2015 in North America and July 17, 2015 in Europe for the Sony PS4, PS4 and PS Vita.
