Boss #3 – The Wretched

It really wouldn’t be a true Binding of Isaac: Rebirth list without a giant, Frankenstein monster of a spider. I’m not sure what is going on with The Wretched, but it looks like she is a spider made out of human parts. Which, granted, is disturbing by itself. But, when combined with her tendency to vomit baby spiders and try and snare you with webbing, whilst jumping about and trying to crash into you, that makes her one of the most creepy bosses in the entire game. But, as creepy as she is, there are two more that are still worse.

Boss #2 – Mega Satan

The big man himself. This creep goes by many names, such as Lucifer, Lightbringer or just plain old Satan. But, not content to go the moderate route, he gets a Mega form in this game (yes, just like Pokémon!). Which is not nice, since the regular Satan boss fight is one of the hardest in the entire game. Mega Satan is not just a demon from your darkest nightmares, but a pain to defeat. He hits you with everything he’s got, including Brimstone beams, his massive clawed hands, summoning the Harbingers and Seven Deadly Sins and much more. Beating him takes everything you’ve got, and is damn near impossible. But the criteria for best boss aren’t just the hardest, it’s also the most disturbing and unique, and, in my book, that honor goes to the next and final boss…
