Square Enix is a company that’s seen its ups and downs over the years, and they’ve gone through numerous changes in that time. Opinions on the quality of their output has varied since Squaresoft and Enix Corporation became one, and there is no shortage of fans and journalists willing to take to the internet and social media to wage an unending war of words about the once unanimously-beloved company. Most of the arguments are about two things: Are their games any good and are they a consumer-conscious company anymore?

And, so, Square Enix has decided to let fans and detractors alike speak to them directly on the matter. They’ve introduced a new ‘player survey‘ that gauges fan interest not only in their products, but those of their competitors, as well. They ask questions about which internet sites and social media outlets people are using to get their gaming information from and also which platforms they’re playing on. At the end, people that take the survey are invited to add any further thoughts on what they’d like to see in the near future. Finally, anyone wishing to take part in a $100 giveaway only has to enter their e-mail address to be entered into the prize drawing.

I’ve filled out my survey and given them my thoughts on which franchises I’d like to see get more attention, as well as what I think they can do to regain total consumer confidence. If you are a fan of Square Enix or just someone that wants to see them do well for the sake of the industry in general, go and fill out the survey now! Your feedback counts now more than ever, and who can say no to a chance at $100 for a few minutes’ worth of their time spent clicking on boxes on a website? But move fast, because the survey is over at the end of March.

About Tom Tolios

Really smart, talks too much, loves the video games and the Star Wars and the Game of Thrones, likes the manga and some anime and knows that Kentaro Miura's Berserk is the greatest thing ever made.

I signed this already. I’m glad they updated the survey with 3DS and WiiU on it; I let them know that they are making a mistake by not considering KH3 for WiiU or for not supporting the system as well as they should.

Any fellow Dragon Quest fans, I urge you to take this avenue to voice your discontent over the continued dismal treatment of the franchise outside of Japan and your wishes to see Dragon Quest VII and/or X make the leap westward.

      Will do

Sure wish they did this sooner. If they asked fans 3 years ago: what do you want: Final Fantasy XV, Kingdom Hearts 3, Final Fantasy VII HD remake, a Final Fantasy game for handhelds, or two sequels to Final Fantasy XIII, I’m sure fans would not have chosen two sequels to FF XIII.

Where the hell was Operation Rainfall on the media list? It’s the only site that I go on daily compared to the rest of the list..
