According to an internal GameStop memo leaked on Reddit, and later posted on Destructoid, the latest wave of amiibo figures will be released in staggered time frames.

Ike and King Dedede will be released in stores February 25th. Anyone who pre-ordered Ike or King Dedede before December 25th will be able to pick them up. Everyone else will have to wait until Spring to receive their orders. The memo also states Mega Man and Sonic amiibos will be released in one wave on February 25th. Destructoid’s Chris Carter was able to confirm the memo’s authenticity through an independent source.

With the release of some of the current amiibo figures being pushed back until Spring, it’s possible wave 4 even won’t be released as scheduled.

All I want is Lucina and Robin, but at this point the pre-orders will be gone in minutes.

I don’t mind waiting, although I think I preordered them before the 25th. I just want to be able to preorder Ness. It’s been months since it was announced and still no preorders at GameStop.

GameStop was also taking web-in-store orders on Shulk again last week, but they won’t be available until May and they’re probably out by now.

Yeah, may 5 for shulk wave 2. How do you run out of an exclusive pre-order? Isn’t that what ordering early is for? Also nintendo and all press are confusing the toy terms series and wave. A wave is a new pressing and shipping of a toy. A series, is when a group of all new figures is released.
