Agarest: Generations of War 2, also known as Record of Agarest War 2, has been announced as releasing on Steam, Thursday, February 19th. The game is the third in a series that was co-developed by Idea Factory and Complie Heart of Hyperdimension Neptunia fame; as well as RED Entertainment, the developer of the Sakura Wars franchise. Ghostlight, who did the EU port of the PS3 version, is handling the localization for the Steam port while the original US PS3 version was published by Aksys Games.
The Agarest War franchise is notable for being a Strategy RPG that spans several generations of the main protagonist’s family in each game by utilizing both dating sim and visual novel elements. Both of its prequels, Agarest: Generations of War and Agarest: Generations of War Zero are currently available on Steam.
