Ads support the website by covering server and domain costs. We're just a group of gamers here, like you, doing what we love to do: playing video games and bringing y'all niche goodness. So, if you like what we do and want to help us out, make an exception by turning off AdBlock for our website. In return, we promise to keep intrusive ads, such as pop-ups, off oprainfall. Thanks, everyone!

Here at oprainfall we have decided that since some of our readers like H-Games that we would begin to cover them. The articles on the site will be kept mostly SFW, though some may still find them a bit risque. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.

menagerie |Sabei

Today I am looking at a brand new game from indie studio Lupiesoft called The Menagerie.

The Menagerie is a place within a fantasy world in which the wealthiest residents indulge in lewd sexual acts. Yea, if you’re thinking this is gonna be pretty over the top you’re pretty much right. The game features one main character Drachene “Rao-Ji”, and five other story characters. The story itself follows Drachene on her adventures through this lewd world. When I say a lewd world… I mean it. This one features plenty of elves involved in bondage acts, yuri, and there is some futanari  thrown in there to spice things up a bit.

The game is targeting a spring release and will set you back $15.95. You can check out the demo and some of the uncensored CGs over at the MangaGamer Product page. They also have full character profiles for each of the characters, and “Monkey” looks kinda cute. If you like what you see you can also check out Lupiesoft’s patreon, they offer some really interesting rewards.

About Steve Baltimore

Steve started with oprainfall not long after the campaign moved from the IGN forums to Facebook. Ever since, he has been fighting to give all non-mainstream RPGs a fair voice. As the site admin, he will continue to do this and even show there is value in what some would deem "pure ecchi." He loves niche games and anime more than anything... well, except maybe Neptune.

Not particularly consumer friendly, but thanks for the warning. Some of your readers may dig H-games, but I’m not one of them. I’ll be unfollowing you from my news sources. I’ll catch my Xenoblade news elsewhere.

    • Crystal Baltimore

The warning wasn’t mean in a mean way, but to simply let readers know that the content below is adult only. 🙂

    • Splinter

They’ve posted 4 news about Xenoblade today… I guess you just need to ignore when you see the “(18+)” titles. Like they said, there are multiple audiences on the website.

    • ZelpherFayt

How could have possibly taken “YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED” someone warning you about sexual content as a negative?

    • I think some of you have misinterpreted my tone. I was sincerely thankful. I make an effort to avoid hentai content. However, I use Flipboard to read news on this site, and it helpfully posts attached pictures nice and large. Once seen can’t be unseen, so I just deleted this site from my Flipboard collection to avoid any surprises in the future.

I could quietly go away, or I could let them know their new editorial direction cost them a reader. I chose to leave feedback. It’s up to them to decide whether they care or not. Cheers!

  • Taiyaki

To be honest I have nothing against ero games but I do mind seeing news about them at Oprainfall…

    • Crystal Baltimore

Sorry that you feel that way. We do understand but this is an area we have wanted to cover for quite some time now. We will be marking any stories like this as 18+ in hopes that our readers who don’t want this type of news will simply not click it.

    • Taiyaki

I understand but putting a warning +18 changes the perception people have of the site.

What about making a tile at the top where one can click for a (preferably default) “family version” or “complete & +18 version” of the site (the family friendly wouldn’t display the +18 articles) allowing people to switch to what they prefer. There are lots of kids (and parents with kids) who come here. After all the site’s roots were around getting 3 Nintendo games localized. You could try a poll for current readers to gauge the mood. I fear this is a slippery slope where many will stop coming and instead you’ll get a very different crowd joining that are more of the 4chan type folks.

    • Steve Baltimore

There is nothing in the article that is not SFW. If people choose the click the outbound links that is their choice to do so. Furthermore with things being labeled (18+) it was their choice to click on the article to begin with.

    • Taiyaki

I agree with the principle, however in practice what really happens is the labeling creates incentive for some to click out of curiosity, often the case with those who aren’t 18. Parents or siblings (who have a younger brother or sister) know this and this might turn them away.

If this is what oprainfall has decided then so be it, I hope this doesn’t harm the site. Now with that said, if this is happening anyway, I’d like to see more illusion game coverage then since they’re the kings of eroge anyway.

    • Keichi Morisato

then i recommend you do NOT visit destructiod, it’s comment section almost always lewd and sometimes the articles are too.

  • Jorudenu

Could you explain me how this crap of porn thing come down to Operation Rainfall website? I used to come here when we were trying to get 3 amazing games… now you’re posting porn game crap? Well I’m pretty sad and pretty sure i’m done with this website. Pretty sure i’ll find info of JRPG and others somewhere else.

  • anonymoose

I see no issue of Op Rainfall covering things like this as long as they’re noted as being 18+… Like you’ve done in the article title. No issues here. Please keep trucking and don’t mind the prudes.

  • Splinter

I support this kind of content as long as you warn us like you did on this post. Oh, and I’ll probably read all of them.

  • Keichi Morisato

don’t listen to the party poopers, this is the kind of stuff that i would love to see covered by niche websites like this. the only other place that i have seen that would report on this is Destructiod, and the community there eats it up everytime.

    • Steve Baltimore

I’m in the process of setting things up still, but you will see more content like this in the future.

  • Keichi Morisato

    day 1 buy for me.
