Xenoblade Chronicles 3D - Box Art

A recent video uploaded by Nintendo World Report TV shows Xenoblade Chronicles 3D in a side-by-side comparison with the original Wii version of the game.

In a testament to the hardware of the New 3DS, the new version looks just as good, and at times even better than the original. According to a note in the video description, the lighting in the cutscenes of the New 3DS version is affected by the real-time day-night cycle, meaning that it changes depending on what time of day they occur.

Xenoblade Chronicles 3D will be released on April 10 in North America exclusively on the New 3DS. The game is available for pre-order on Amazon.

Lol, both look horrid next to the game via Dolphin @ 4K

    • Apex Gaming

      Agreed.

    • John Ellis

You upscaled textures that high? Not the best idea to do, this is why we have remasters.

  • Pedro Rosas

They look exactly the same. I doubt they used footage from the 3D version for the trailer.

    • Pyrotek85

I doubt that they faked the 3DS version, and they don’t look identical. The 3DS version has slightly different textures, but they’ve got decent parity between them all things considered. I’m pretty impressed that it’ll be able to run this smoothly.

  • Jahu

Whoa, I wasn’t at all expecting them to look so similar. I’m impressed.

  • Ultimate Fiend

Anyone who says they look identical did not watch the video in 720 full screen. The 3DS version looks notoriously worse. It is STILL amazing for a 3DS. I really want that game so I’ll finally be able to finish the game xD I just can’t sit in front of the wii as much as I used to nowadays.
