Minecraft: Story Mode

If you asked me what one of my favorites games were, I’d totally say Minecraft. It takes a genre that I don’t really care for (I don’t like scary things or an open world without a purpose XD) and makes me want to keep playing and keep building the perfect base, then village, then town. Another reason I love it so much is the absolutely amazing modding community. There are some amazing mods out there that really make it worth the price of entry. I’m pretty sure there isn’t anyone one game that I’ve had as much fun with as Minecraft and its mods. Which is why today’s news is so very exciting!

Today on their blog, Telltale announced that they are going to be making Minecraft: Story Mode! It will be a completely original story based off what you the player decide you want to do. It won’t delve into the origin of our gentle Steve but you will be getting to know more about the world of Minecraft in an episodic way. This will be released on all major platforms (except Linux and Wii U), including Android and iOS.

More about the game will be reported on as we get more information but what do you guys think? Excited for yet another way to play everyone’s favorite blockbuilder? Disappointed in the news of Minecraft getting a bit of a backstory? Already planning your mods? Let us know in the comments!
