DmC Devil May Cry: Definitive Edition | oprainfall

Capcom has revealed that DmC Devil May Cry: Definitive Edition is coming to current-gen home consoles, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. It will be available in both Europe and North America at retail and in their respective digital stores on March 17, 2015.

Like all good “Definitive Edition” re-releases, DmC Devil May Cry: Definitive Edition will come with all available DLC for DmC. It will also sport some improvements and a returning mechanic that was absent in the reboot. The Definitive Edition will run at 1080p resolution at 60 frames per second. It has been rebalanced and sports a couple of new modes. Manual lock-on makes a return in the re-release, arguably to make certain moves easier to pull off consistently. Also, a couple of new skins have been added, including one that changes Dante to look like the Dante from the classic series. I guess a million years have passed.

DmC: Devil May Cry: Definitive Edition will be sold for $39.99 or €39.99.

As for that ending

About Karli Winata

Karli Winata is an avid gamer with a taste for a little bit of everything. Except for sports games. And racing sims. And definitely not hidden object games! I guess everything is too broad a term. Suffice it to say that he has been known to play hours of Call of Duty multiplayer in between bouts of Persona fusing and Star Coin collecting while saving the world/galaxy through sensibly bald space marines or plucky teenagers with impossible hairstyles. Where does he find the time to write about them?

  • Taiyaki

The definitive edition of the worst dmc. How appealing.

    • Brad Williams

I don’t recall Devil May Cry 2 being part of the package.

  • Louis Polite

Did Capcom just re-retcon their retcons with the new game by making Dante like to have white hair like he used to? Plus having it back at 60fps with manual lock-on? I wonder if he’s gonna eat more pizza and not smoke…

  • Lord Ackercocke

I didn’t get around to playing my PS3 copy as yet so i’ll get this version then.

  • Razorfall

That title is ridiculous. They may as well just call it “DmC: Devil May Cry: Definitive Edition colon AKA the one with all the DLC – The Capcom Moneygrab Experience”

    • Lord Ackercocke

Not necessarily a money grab as it’ll be for only $40 and no one has to buy if they don’t want to.

  • Raiken

DmC: The one like it shoud have been from the start edition

I never liked the original, so I won’t even pick this one up even with the changes to work like it sould.
