Super Mario Bros Movie - Blu-ray Cover

Do you remember the Super Mario Bros. movie? If you’re under a certain age, you probably didn’t even know such a thing existed. If you’re over a certain age, you’ll know that’s a movie that takes the barest outline of the Mario franchise, and puts it into a dark, dystopian storyline. Opinions on the movie vary, but no one claims that it has anything to do with the Mario franchise. The movie bombed on release, but has since had a DVD re-release. And for some reason, the film is now headed to Blu-ray. According to Amazon UK, the Blu-ray edition of Super Mario Bros. will come out November 3rd.

Looking at the reviews, apparently there were some people asking for this. Are you one of them, or are you wishing this movie had never been made? Sound off in the comments.

About Guy Rainey

I’m Guy Rainey. I’m a hardcore Nintendo fan, a PC enthusiast, and a Sony sympathizer. Also an amateur/aspiring game creator. I love any game that puts story as the main focus of the game, so that means JRPGs are my favorite genre almost by default.

    11/10, it was alright.

  • Vinicius

    I love this movie.

  • Gemnist

    3 1/2 words: Live-action. Mario. Terrible.

Even with the late Bob Hoskins and the hilarious John Leguizamo, this film is a disgrace to Nintendo and the very reason why we won’t see Nintendo films outside of Pokemon. I can see why it – or any movie, for that matter – should come to Blu-ray, but it shouldn’t have gone through.

I think the looks on their faces on the cover there say it all.

  • Ryan_oprainfall

Sweet, been waiting on this. Might not be a great movie but worth owning for nostalgia if nothing else.

    KHAAAAAAAN!!

    KHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAN!!

  • Thanatos2k

This movie is such a disgrace, but so strangely compelling at the same time.
