Mega Rayquaza has finally been revealed for Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Saphire! Seeing as how a number of Pokemon have been getting new forms, it was only a matter of time before we saw Rayquaza on the list of Megas. However, unlike his counterparts Groudon in Kyogre, he does not get a Primal form. Instead, Rayquaza just gets a normal Mega Evolution, but in a different way that has not yet been revealed. It was revealed in the live stream earlier that this would be explained further in the story.

Like his two counterparts, however, he does get a new ability in the form of Delta Stream. This ability removes all weather effects and makes the moves that flying-types are weak to do normal damage to all flying-types as long as Rayquaza is in battle. As an added boost, Rayquaza also gets a new move, Dragon Ascent. This move is said to be the strongest flying-type move in the game so far.

I’m not a big fan of Dragon-types, but I may actually use this one, seeing how cool and interesting it is. What do you guys think the next Mega Evolution will be? So far I’ve been right with my prediction of Mega Sharpedo, which I am very excited for, but now I’m hoping for a Mega Ludicolo, since it is 3rd gen. I hope to hear from each and every one of you in the comments!
