Onechanbara Z2: Chaos

Onechanbara Z2: Chaos makes its PlayStation 4 debut this October.

Onechanbara Z2: Chaos, the newest entry in the long-running zombie-slaying action series, is making its PS4 debut in Japan this October. In anticipation, D3 Publishing has released new screenshots and concept art for the game that details new powers for the main characters, as well as showing off some of the new villains.  Two of the main heroines, Aya and Saki, can transform into more powerful “Ecstasy Forms.”  While powered-up, the characters are in full control of their actions, so it’s not like a berserk mode.

Several new enemies are shown off.  There’s a stitched together zombie called Hekotonkheires, a strong giant zombie called Gigas, a bio-engineered zombie dog called Zombified Clone Hellhound, a magic zombie called the Super Monk, and a bamboo forest dwelling zombie called Jiangshi.  One of the more interesting new enemies are a pair of zombified sisters named Sayaka and Anzu. Sayaka wields a ball and chain weapon and retains her memories of previous battles, growing stronger as a result. Sayaka wields a pair of claw weapons, and but loses her memory with each battle.  Both sisters also have egos, unlike most zombies.

It’s also worth noting that Onechanbara Z2: Chaos comes with pre-order bonus “costumes.”  The first print copies of the game come with “Banana and Strawberry X,” while digital versions of the game come with “Banana and Strawberry Y,” both of which are shown off below. Onechanbara Z2: Chaos launches on PS4 October 30th in Japan.
