Tales of Zestiria

Bandai Namco recently announced the Japanese release date for Tales of Zestiria in the latest edition of Jump Magazine. The game will be coming out in Japan for the PS3 on January 22, 2015. Release dates for other territories have yet to have been announced.

The magazine has also revealed a new character as well: Rose. Designed by Kousuke Fujishima, the magazine claims she is “a cheerful and lively girl, who sets the mood of the group.” She is also said to wield dual blades and is able to see those from the Heavenly Tribe.

It was also revealed that pre-orders of the game in Japan will come with one of four randomly selected “premium rubber straps,” which will feature one of the four main characters: Sorey, Alisha, Mikelo, or Edna. Pre-orders will also come with codes for exclusive downloadable secret arts for Alisha, Mikelo, and Lailah.

I wonder if people forgot that they never said a SIMULTANEOUS release?

  • Another_Unknown

Tales of Studios never learn. This game will be in the west in the beginning of 2016, at the best (no surprise if takes more time). Also, why not launching this title in PS4 too, like Atlus are doing with Persona 5?

    • ScienceNonfiction

They already said they’re aiming to release this in the west the same year Japan gets it. December 31 2015 here we come!

In all seriousness though, I think it could come west in Q3 2015. I mean, possibly.

Well for starters they said they plan on having it out everywhere by the end of 2015.

Second some people don’t like it when their games delayed Rayman Origins style (and now Persona 5 style). Who seriously wants to wait longer just so all the ports release on the same date? Release it on the intended system first and then port it AFTER it’s out.
