Road Not Taken

Need a little more roguelike madness in your gaming life? Hope you can wait until August, because Spry Fox has just announced both the European and North American release dates for the upcoming Road Not Taken. The roguelike puzzle game will be released for PC and PlayStation 4 on August 5th in North America and August 6th in Europe, and a Vita release is slated for sometime later in the year.

Road Not Taken will send players off the beaten path–literally–as they navigate the protagonist through a treacherous forest that changes with every visit. On top of dealing with the shifting woodlands, players will also have to be mindful of the game’s many puzzles and of the main character’s interactions with the rest of the cast. Daniel Cook, Chief Creative Officer of Spry Fox, has likened the game’s relationship system to the ones in games like Harvest Moon and promises that every decision will have consequences.

You can check out the game’s (distinctly 90’s themed) release date announcement video below.
