Microsoft revealed new details on the much-hyped Lionhead studios exclusive Fable Legends, as well as gameplay. The footage shown introduced the four titular characters, as well as the four player c0-0p goodness promised by the devs during last year’s E3 conference.

Greetings Heroes!

Fans of the Fable series will be glad to hear that the humor, art style and lore of Albion will be returning with a shiny new HD coating. The combat also appears to be following the same style as Fable Legends’ predecessors, but with an extra coat of gloss and shine, and has an overall better flow to it.

Good old fashioned team work.

There’s also an added twist thrown in to Fable Legends. Not only will players fill the role of the four heroes, but a player will be able to fill the role of Dungeon Master style character that will get some control over the heroes’ campaign. While this was lightly announced last year, it was finally shown during this year’s conference. The DM gets an overhead view of the area the heroes are in, and can twist and shape the enemies and events ahead of the players.

And last, but not least, Lionhead announced that a mulitplayer beta for Fable Legends will be released in the Fall of this year for Xbox One.
