Ubisoft showed off a gameplay demo for Assassin’s Creed Unity, the newest title in the Assassin’s Creed franchise. The demo showed the assassination of a Marquis in Versailles on the eve of the French Revolution. The demo showed off a number of mechanics, including stealth, climbing, combat, and a battle amidst an attack by peasant revolutionaries. The demo also appears to show co-op.
Furthermore, Ubisoft has claimed that Assassin’s Creed Unity will “redefine” the Assassin’s Creed experience. The game will feature the series’ biggest world ever, and will allow players to create their own assassin brotherhood for the first time in the series’ history.
Assassin’s Creed is an open-world stealth action series set in various different periods of history. The series began with Assassin’s Creed in 2007. The most recent release in the main series was Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag, which concerned pirates in the Caribbean. The new game, Assassin’s Creed Unity, will be set in Paris on the eve of the French Revolution, and will release on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Windows. Check out a trailer for the game below.
