E3 may not officially start until next week, but that hasn’t stopped Capcom from unveiling its Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate E3 trailer, some screenshots and additional details.

It isn’t really anything we haven’t seen already, and if I wasn’t already planning to buy the game, I’m not sure if this would make me take notice. The screenshots are for the fans, though:

Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate | Magala

First, we have a monster that I haven’t seen before (I’m ashamed to say that I haven’t even gotten very far into Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate). It’s apparently a Gore Magala. Looks interesting. I’ll give it a shot.

Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate | Insect Glaive

Now we take a look at one of the new weapons. This particular one is called an Insect Glaive. I’m really interested, since I prefer weapons with high speed.

Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate | Great Jaggi

Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate | Great Jaggi Attack

Now a couple of screenshots of a Great Jaggi, who first made an appearance in Monster Hunter Tri. It may be a pushover, it still looks fun to fight here.

Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate | TigrexAnother monster rises: the Tigrex of Monster Hunter Freedom 2 fame! He’s still looking cool as ever. I can’t wait to fight him.

So, yeah, all in all, the game is looking good. I can’t wait to see more of this at E3.

About Guy Rainey

I’m Guy Rainey. I’m a hardcore Nintendo fan, a PC enthusiast, and a Sony sympathizer. Also an amateur/aspiring game creator. I love any game that puts story as the main focus of the game, so that means JRPGs are my favorite genre almost by default.

For the Wii U’s sake (mostly mine, though) I will hope they announce a home console version at some point before the end of 2014.

    • Agreed, Especially since im now getting a wii u, because of a very cheap $373 deal at work ($399 – 5% Work Discount)

I’d much prefer a console version also but that all depends on how many Wii U’s Nintendo can sell this year.
