Well, things seem to have leveled off in this week’s Media Create charts. Hardware looks bad but is actually up from last week. The biggest gainers this week are the Wii U and PS Vita.

Over on software, the top end fell with no games or ports going above 40,000. However, the lower end has risen to just below 3000, a modest improvement over the 2200 it took last week to make the Top 20.

Leading the way is a new version of Konami’s latest soccer game called World Soccer: Winning Eleven 2014: Samurai Blue Challenge. Not sure what the Samurai Blue Challenge is, but the latest iteration of the Japanese version of Pro Evolution Soccer was able to net three ports in the Top 20. The PS3 version was 1st with 35,656 units sold, the 3DS version was 5th with 16,762 units, and the PSP version was 9th with 7,245 units sold.

UPDATE: I have been informed by a number of people that Samurai Blue is actually the nickname for the Japan National Football (Soccer, for us Yanks) Team. So, in a sense, World Soccer: Winning Eleven 2014: Samurai Blue Challenge is Konami’s World Cup video game, centering on the Japanese team. Thanks, guys.

Coming in 2nd was Infamous: Second Son with 34,801 units sold. The game has already released in the West and was well-received by our own Tyler Lubben.

The next new release this week is FuRyu’s To Love-Ru Trouble: Darkness – Battle Ecstasy. This is a harem game based on the To Love-Ru Manga. Given that recent FuRyu game Exstetra hasn’t come over, the odds of this finding a way West are considerably low. People wanting to play it will probably need to import.

The final new release this week is Idea Factory’s Amnesia World. This is the latest installment in the Amnesia visual novel series that began in 2011 on the PSP.

As for returning games, the only thing of note is Yo-kai Watch picking up almost 34,000 sold units. The game is now within striking distance of the 1 million mark, just in time for the release of Yo-kai Watch 2.
