Theatrhythm Final Fantasy: Curtain Call | oprainfall

Good news rhythmic-RPG fans! Square Enix revealed this morning that Theatrhythm Final Fantasy: Curtain Call will be coming to North America later this year. The announcement confirms that there will be a staggering 221 songs, possibly more as DLC, and over 60 characters. The music and characters span the entire Final Fantasy series including the recent Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn, and Lightning Returns.

The addictive Quest Medleys from the iOS version of Theatrhythm will make a reappearance in Curtain Call, now with exciting boss battles to conclude them. Additionally players can now more directly settle arguments over who is better at rhythmic screen tapping with head-to-head versus battles.

The charming announcement trailer can be viewed below. See if you can keep track of all the characters that march by.

Sadly there is still no word on whether we’re getting that beautiful Theatrhythm 3DS XL. Come on, Square Enix. Don’t make us beg on this one too.
